Sixth Annual Golden Star Awards
Each year in May, we honor and recognize older Americans for their important sacrifices and contributions to our society. Our seniors have cared for their families and communities, enhanced our economic prosperity and defended our Nation. During Older Americans Month in May, Presbyterian Homes honors someone 65 or older for their achievements, contributions to community or the impact they have made as a role model.
Here’s your chance to nominate your favorite Older American and give them the attention they deserve. Your favorite Older American could be your parent, grandparent, someone who volunteers at a community organization, or just anyone who has made an impression on you.
The Golden Star Award winner and nominees will be honored at the Presbyterian Homes Benefit Breakfast hosted by Max & Erma’s Restaurant outside the Millcreek Mall on Saturday, May 10th which takes place from 8:00 – 10:00 AM. Plan on joining us as we present the Golden Star Award for 2008. Tickets for this event are $5 per person and can be purchased at the Presbyterian Homes Caring for Life office, 814-868-1257 or any of the Presbyterian Homes facilities. All proceeds benefit the Presbyterian Homes Caring for Life Campaign for Benevolent Care & Capital Imporvements.
