FREE Planned Giving Education Program

February 15, 2006 | in Caring for Life

Did you know that while more than 70% of Americans contribute to their favorite charities throughout their lifetimes, only around 6% continue this support through a gift in their will or estate plan? With a little planning, today's generous donors can continue to make a difference beyond their own lifetime.

They just need to know how!

A study by the National Committee on Planned Giving found that people didn't leave a charitable bequest for three major reasons:

  • A charitable organization never asked them to be included in their will.
  • Their professional advisor or attorney never suggested they make a charitable gift
  • The people didn't think of it themselves.

That is why Presbyterian Homes offers our FREE Planned Giving Education Program. The Planned Giving Education Program is an effort to make more people aware of the many ways they can Leave A Legacy to their-favorite charitable organizations while also learning about the tax benefits of doing so.

Our Planned Giving Education Team is available to talk with individuals and groups to provide information about various planned giving gift designs. They will also explain. the substantial financial advantages of giving a planned gift. By making these "planned gifts", you can continue to help your favorite organizations that are making a difference in your community.
